About

Adrian has over 30 years’ experience managing fraud and security in the telecommunications sector.  His career highlights include:

  • Creating and heading up the group security function for the newly listed O2, following the demerger from BT;
  • Creating the Communications Crime Strategy Group to drive down mobile phone crime, for which he received a commendation from the Deputy Police Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police;
  • Leading the O2 investigation into the “voicemail hacking” scandal and giving evidence at the Select Committee hearing and Leveson inquiry, for which he received recognition for his customer-focussed approach.

 

Today he leads a large, diverse organisation covering not just cybersecurity, information security governance, fraud prevention and management, investigations and crime prevention; but also health & safety, and property & workplace.

 

Adrian is a member of a number of committees and industry forums including:

 

  • International Security Management Association (ISMA);
  • Risk and Security Management Forum (RSMF);
  • Selwyn House Committee
  • Fellow of the Security Institute
  • Chairman of the Communication Crime Strategy Group (CCSG)
  • Co-Chairman of the Telecommunications Industry Security Advisor Council (TISAC) Executive Steering Group with Cabinet Office. 
  • Director Trustee of the O2 Pension Fund and Chair of the Pension Governance Committee.
