  • New for 2019! Infosecurity Escape Room

Could you manage the infosec impact of physical attack?

It’s Monday morning when you walk into work to find that your office has been turned over and robbed over the weekend. As you enter the room, the door slams shut behind you and locks from the outside….. You look around the office and you can see that the confidential files and documents, full of personal data and IP that were left lying around the office are no longer there.

You have 20 minutes to escape the ransacked environment so you can inform your company’s legal team about the missing files and try to mitigate the impact of your organisation’s poor security awareness programme.”

Come & Play Cybersecurity Arcade Games

Calling all attendees, ready to challenge your skills with Hornswoggle, a treasure-chest codebreaking game?

Take a trip down Geek Street to see if you can get the highscore! Students working in the Foundry at UWE Bristol have created an online game called ‘i-Patch Pirates’ for the University’s annual Cyber Security Week, run by IT Services.

It’s a 2D adventure where you become a pirate, explore new lands and complete mini-games in order to be the best pirate and sail on the best galleon.

Last year University faculties competed against each other to be the best pirate faction, sneaking aboard each other’s galleons and guessing each other’s passwords while others took to the sea to fire the ships cannons.

The event was the 3rd year of Cybersecurity week at UWE Bristol. With 2019 promising to be the best yet with new games about phishing, security updates, passwords and encryption underway!

Come and play one of these latest games; our treasure-chest codebreaking game “Hornswoggle” and find out more about the cybersecurity serious games and events from the team.
