Roundtable 1: Operational Risk and the Role of the CISO

05 Jun 2018, 10:30 - 11:30

Leaders Programme

As high-profile breaches continue to fill news headlines and swipe at the reputation of well – known companies and brands, the debate around accountability is getting louder. It’s a discussion that almost inevitably leads to the CISO’s fit within the organisation or management structure and whether they are truly positioned to advance the organization’s security stature to meet the risks.

This invitation- only think-tank discussion brings senior security managers together to discuss cyber security as an operational risk and what this reveals about the evolving role of the CISO. The topic will be explored around four points of discussion:

  1. Securing the disruptive change that comes with cloud, blockchain, automation, IoT and more
  2. The regulatory landscape driven by cyberthreat
  3. Getting Control of Data
  4. Securing a seat at the top table

This is an opportunity to discuss the state of security management with peers and share your insights as part of an effort to advance the development of the cybersecurity practice. Notes will be taken and shared with attendees and interested audiences but participants will not be identified. Light refreshments will be served following the session providing an informal opportunity to network and carry on discussions.
